Guild Sponsors California Child Protective Act

Kids Walking The California Guild’s priority legislation for 2019 was introduced in the California Legislature today.  The California Child Protection Act, measure AB 468 (Muratsuchi, D-Torrance), will require the State’s 1,026 school districts (including child daycare centers) to implement Organic Landscape Management Practices (in place of toxic pesticides) in outdoor areas such as playgrounds, turf and athletic playing fields.

Guild Asks Governor To Ban Glyphosate

Robert Kennedy Jr. and Bob McFarland Yesterday the California Guild met with the Governor’s staff in Sacramento to raise concerns over glyphosate, the carcinogenic agent found in Monsanto’s Roundup.

Joining us were Robert F Kennedy Jr., attorneys from the Los Angeles law firm of Baum, Hedlund, Arestei and Goldman, scientist Steven Frantz, Guild Information Director Kat Fury and Guild President Bob McFarland.

Guild Project Will Create Trails, Reduce Carbon Footprint
